Terms of Service

These terms apply when you request, book or receive services from Imran Khan Technical Services L.L.C. ("Imran Khan Technical Services", "we", "us"). By requesting a quotation or booking a job, you agree to them. Please read them before booking.

Nothing in these terms affects any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the United Arab Emirates.

The services we provide

We carry out air conditioning, appliance repair, plumbing, electrical, tiling, painting and general maintenance work for homes, villas and offices in Dubai. The specific work covered by any booking is the work described in the quotation we give you and you accept.

Quotations and pricing

  • Every job is quoted before work begins. We do not publish fixed prices for services, because the cost depends on the site, the fault and the parts required.
  • A quotation is based on the information available to us at the time, including anything you describe and anything visible during an inspection.
  • Unless stated otherwise, a quotation is valid for 14 days and is exclusive of any parts or materials not listed in it.
  • All prices are in UAE Dirhams (AED). Where VAT applies, it is charged in addition at the prevailing rate.

Variations and additional work

Faults are sometimes only fully visible once work has started — behind a wall, inside a unit, or under a floor. If we find that additional work or parts are needed, we will stop, explain what we have found, and give you a revised price. We will not carry out additional chargeable work without your approval.

Booking, access and site conditions

  • Appointment times are estimates. Traffic, parking, building access procedures and overruns on earlier jobs can affect arrival times. We will keep you informed if we are delayed.
  • You are responsible for providing safe and lawful access to the property at the agreed time, including any building permissions, security passes or lift bookings your building requires.
  • Please clear the work area of furniture, valuables and personal belongings before we arrive, and let us know about pets, vulnerable occupants or anything hazardous on site.
  • We may need access to water, electricity and drainage to carry out the work.
  • If we cannot access the property at the agreed time, or the site is not ready, a call-out charge may apply.

Permissions and building rules

Some work requires the approval of your landlord, building management or owners' association. Obtaining that approval is your responsibility unless we have expressly agreed in writing to arrange it. We may decline or stop work where the necessary permission is not in place.

Payment

  • Payment is due on completion of the work unless we have agreed different terms in writing.
  • For larger jobs we may ask for a deposit or a staged payment covering parts and materials before we begin.
  • We will issue an invoice describing the work carried out and any parts supplied.

Cancellation and rescheduling

  • You may cancel or reschedule a booking by contacting us. Please give us as much notice as you can so the slot can be offered to another customer.
  • Where a technician has already travelled to the property, or parts have been specially ordered for your job, we may charge for the call-out or for those parts.
  • We may need to reschedule a booking — for example because of an emergency job, staff illness or unsafe site conditions. If we do, we will offer you the earliest alternative slot available.

Parts and materials

  • Where we supply parts, any manufacturer's warranty on those parts is passed to you. We are not the manufacturer and do not extend that warranty.
  • Where you supply the parts, we will fit them if it is safe and appropriate to do so, but we cannot accept responsibility for the parts themselves or for a fault caused by them.
  • Removed or replaced parts are disposed of unless you ask us to leave them with you.

Our work

We will carry out the work with reasonable care and skill, using technicians appropriate to the task. If something we have installed or repaired fails because of our workmanship, contact us and we will inspect it. This does not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, third-party interference, a pre-existing fault elsewhere in the system, or a part that has failed for its own reasons.

Things we cannot be responsible for

  • Pre-existing defects, or the general condition of an installation we were not asked to work on.
  • Faults that develop in equipment or systems we did not install or service.
  • Damage arising from the age or condition of pipework, wiring, tiling or fittings that were already deteriorated, where disturbance was unavoidable in carrying out the work you asked for.
  • Delays or losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue or business interruption. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited under UAE law.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any part of our work, please tell us as soon as possible so we can put it right. Contact us using the details below with your address, the date of the visit and a description of the problem.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
