Curtain and blinds installation in Dubai

This looks like a simple job and frequently is not, because of what Dubai walls are made of. Most apartments here are concrete or solid blockwork rather than stud partition, so the fixing is the whole job — the wrong plug in the wrong substrate pulls out of the wall a few months later, usually taking a chunk of plaster with it.

Why the fixing matters

A full-length pair of blackout curtains across a wide window is heavy, and that weight hangs off a handful of fixings for years. We use the fixing appropriate to what is actually behind the plaster, drill to the right depth, and check the track is level along its length rather than level at the ends.

Can you fit curtains I bought elsewhere?

Yes. We are happy to fit tracks, rails and blinds you have already bought — we only need to know the sizes and whether you want ceiling or wall fixing before we come, so we bring the right fixings.

How long does it take?

Around two hours for a typical apartment with several windows, and we usually need about a day's notice.

Often booked alongside painting when a room is being redecorated, or as part of a list of small jobs under handyman work. Motorised tracks may need a nearby power point, which is electrical work.
