A washing machine fails in a small number of predictable ways, and most of them are repairable for far less than a replacement costs. The trick is diagnosing it correctly the first time, which means listening to what the machine does rather than guessing from the symptom alone.

Common faults and what they usually mean

• Will not drain, drum full of water. Usually the pump filter or the drain hose. Often something small has got past the filter — a coin, a hair clip.
• Loud banging on the spin cycle. Drum bearings, or the load is unbalanced. Bearings are a real repair; an unbalanced load is free to fix.
• Door will not unlock. The interlock has failed, or the machine believes there is still water inside.
• Fills and drains repeatedly without washing. Usually the pressure switch or its hose.
• Dryer runs but clothes stay damp. Blocked lint path or a failed heating element — the first is far more common, and cheaper.
• An error code on the display. Tell us the code when you call. It narrows the diagnosis before we arrive, and often tells us which part to bring.

How much does washing machine repair cost in Dubai?

Every job is quoted after we have seen the fault. A blocked pump filter is a small job; a bearing replacement is a bigger one because the drum has to come apart. We will tell you the price before we start, and if the machine is genuinely not worth repairing we will say so — there is no value to us in charging you for a repair that fails again in two months.

How long does it take?

Most repairs take about two hours on site, and we can usually attend the same day. Where a part has to be ordered we will fit it on a return visit at no extra call-out charge.

Should I repair or replace?

As a rule of thumb, if the repair is a fraction of the price of a comparable new machine and the machine is under about eight years old, repair it. If the drum bearings have failed on an older budget machine, replacement is usually more sensible. We will give you the honest number and let you decide.
