TV and LCD repair in Dubai

Televisions are worth assessing before writing off. A set that shows no picture is often suffering a power supply or backlight fault — both repairable — rather than a failed panel, which generally is not worth fixing.

What we can usually repair

• No picture but sound still works. Typically the backlight. Shine a torch at the screen: if you can faintly see the image, this is the fault and it is repairable.
• Will not power on at all. Power supply board, often a few failed capacitors.
• Picture flickers or dims by itself. Backlight driver or a failing supply.
• No sound. Amplifier section or a speaker connection.
• Ports not working. HDMI boards can usually be replaced on their own.

What is usually not worth repairing

A cracked or internally damaged panel. The panel is most of what a television costs, so replacing it rarely makes sense against the price of a new set. We will tell you that honestly rather than quoting a repair you should not buy. Assessment is free.

Wall mounting and setup

We also mount televisions — bracket fitted to the correct fixing for the wall type, cables routed out of sight where the wall allows, and the set levelled and connected. Dubai apartments are often blockwork or concrete rather than stud, so the right fixing matters more than usual.

How long does it take?

An assessment takes about an hour, usually same day. Board-level repairs may need the set collected if the part must be ordered.

Listed under appliance repair. If the mounting needs a new power point behind the screen, that is electrical work and can be done in the same visit.
